Can you check If my car is ULEZ compliant?

Yes, of course. Our reports provide you with the EU Engine Emissions rating, so from that you can determine if your car is ULEZ compliant or if you’ll have to pay the daily charge.

What is the ULEZ?

The ULEZ is London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone, established to combat air pollution and improve air quality in and around the capital. Vehicles entering the ULEZ must meet stringent emissions standards to be allowed entry without incurring charges.

As of August 2023, the ULEZ expanded and now contains most areas within the M25.

How much is the ULEZ daily charge?

The daily ULEZ charge for vehicles up to and including 3.5 tonnes, which will be most light vehicles including cars, motorcycles and vans, is £12.50.

Any vehicle over this weight, such as lorries, could pay up to £300 per day under a different scheme.

How do I know if I have to pay the ULEZ charge?

To drive within the ULEZ without paying a daily charge, your vehicle must meet specific emission standards. Diesel vehicles must meet the Euro 6 standards (which is most vehicles pre-2015), while petrol vehicles must meet the Euro 4 standards (most vehicles pre-2006).

How is ULEZ Enforced?

Compliance is enforced though automatic plate recognition (ANPR) cameras, which capture the registration number of vehicles entering the zone. If your car is not compliant, Tfl will get in touch with you to let you know that you have an outstanding ULEZ charge.
